Cllr Jane Baugh, who recently retired as an NHS Physiotherapist, says “I am far from fit but we have the opportunity to use the outdoor gym with Craig an instructor who has volunteered to advise and encourage us to get fitter. It’s great in the Park with such lovely surroundings to exercise in. If I can do it anybody can, I am no fitness fanatic! But I certainly felt great after these sessions which are free and last about 45mins in Worthington Park at 11am every Monday morning . A big thank you to Friends of Worthington park for making this facility available to us all.”

On Sunday 20th January 2013 a visitor to the Park lost a gold wedding band. This is of great sentimental value.
Thanks to Richard Parker and his metal detector the wedding band has now been found.
