Santa comes to Worthington Park

Santa will be visiting Worthington Park on Saturday 15th December 2012 between 1pm and 3pm.

Meet Santa in his grotto on the bandstand; £3 including a gift.

Enjoy a mince pie (or two) and mulled wine.

All proceeds go to help the Friends Group maintain and improve the Park.

The Secret of Crickley Hall

Some scenes in the new BBC ghost story drama serial “The Secret of Crickley Hall” were shot in Worthington Park. The story is not suitable for children and adults of a nervous disposition should watch from behind the settee!

Green Flag Judges’ Feedback 2012

Worthington Park has again been awarded a Green Flag for 2012/13.

The feedback from the Green Flag Judges can be downloaded as a Word document from here.

The Friends Group and Trafford Council are already tackling the comparatively few issues raised by this report.

Animal Blessing Service – Sunday 14th October 2012

The Rev. Barbara Sharp and Rev. Julian Heaton will be concelebrating an Animal Blessing Service in the Park at 2pm on Sunday 14th October 2012.

Bring your pet or a photo of your pet.

Fun Dog Show

ON September 16, Sale Division Guiding is holding a fun dog show in Worthington Park, Broad Road, Sale, from signing-in at 12 noon until 5pm.
There will also be a bouncy castle, trampolines, donkey rides, refreshments and stalls.
Organisations and individuals are invited to apply for stall space. Charities £15 and individuals or trade £20.
