Love Parks Week – Update

As part of “Love Parks Week” on 2 August 2022 members of the Friends of Worthington Park, supported by One Trafford staff, held a litter pick in the Park.

Love Parks Week – Litter Pick

This year Love Parks Week runs from 29 July to 5 August.
As part of this Week, there will be a litter pick in Worthington Park on
Tuesday 2nd August –10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Meet at Broad Road entrance.
All welcome. Equipment will be provided but please come dressed as for gardening!

Litter – Keep our Park Tidy

Thank you to Helen Baylis of Sale Wombles for keeping our park clean during our Jubilee event.

Thank you also to ‘Love to Frame’ Timperley for this sign given to us free to help with litter in the Park. It worked so well.

Fantastic 3 June Jubilee Event

Many thanks to the hundreds of people who enjoyed the Friends of Worthington Park Jubilee Event in the Park. The sunny weather was a great bonus!

Painting the Gates

The three sets of main gates to Worthington Park were installed in 1953 to mark the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth ll.

To celebrate the Queen’s platinum Jubilee the gates have now been repainted. Many thanks to The Conservation Volunteers for their hard work with the paint brushes and to Amey for supplying the paint.
