Absolutely delighted to be able to be posting that Sale Central Guiding have organised an Easter Trail in the park. It’s socially distanced and will run from 31st March over the Easter holidays. There’s a trail to follow with lots of Easter facts and some activities. Thank you so much for doing this Sale Guides – we really appreciate this and know it will be enjoyed by many.

Several members of the Friends Group attended the online training in asthma awareness organised by Heather Henry from BreathChamps CIC.
The Friends of Worthington Park have now been accredited as a child asthma friendly organisation.

The Park is visited by many birds, One of our young visitors to the Park, Daisy (12), has produced this helpful poster advising how to feed the birds.

The Friends of Worthington Park have now installed a trail of fairy doors at the bases of various trees in the Park. Many thanks to the local children who kindly decorated the doors.

The Friends of Worthington Park were saddened by the death of Councillor Jane Baugh in February 2020. Jane was a very active supporter of the Park and a long-time member of the Committee of the Friends Group. She was one of the main drivers behind many of the improvements to the Park, most recently the Joule plaque.
She will be very much missed.

A JustGiving page has ben set up to raise funds for St. Ann’s Hospice because of the end of life care they provided for Jane.

In accordance with Government instructions, the play areas, outdoor gym, bowling greens, skateboard ramp and public toilets are closed and must not be used until further notice.
If you use the Park for your daily walk, please remember to keep at least 2 metres from others and that groups of more than 2 people are not permitted.
