Car Boot Sale – 5 October 2014

The Friends Group are organising a Car Boot Sale on the big field in the Park on Sunday 5th October 2014.

Entrance fee for sellers’ cars is £10 per car, payable at the gate. Entrance for sellers’ cars is only  via the gate at the end of Charlton Drive (M33 2BJ). Cars allowed in after 8.00am for official start at 8.30am. The event will finish before 1.00pm.

Buyers are admitted free.

The money raised by the sellers’ entry fees will go towards the upkeep and improvement of Worthington Park. 

Alzheimers Society Walk and Talk Support Group

The Alzheimer’s Society are organising regular Walk and Talk support group meetings for people with dementia in Trafford.
Meet every Tuesday at 10.30am at the Broad Road entrance to the Park.

WORLD WAR 1 COMMEMORATION

SUNDAY 7 SEPTEMBER AT 2PM 

PLEASE JOIN US AT THE BANDSTAND

Service led by Rev Julian Heaton   and Rev Barbara Sharp

As part of our World War 1 Commemoration Service, we will be compiling a list of names of those who died in this conflict.  The names will be read aloud at the service on 7 September.

If you would like to send us details of a friend or relative to be included in the list, please email details to ww1@worthingtonpark.org.uk

Names and details will also be listed on the WWI Commemoration page of our website.

St. Paul’s Church commemorates start of WW1

On Wednesday 4 August 2014 St. Paul’s Church in Sale will be holding a special service to commemorate 100 years since the start of the First World War.
The church will be open from 11 am there will be very short prayers on the hour each hour until 10 pm when there will be a service of readings and music and at 11 pm at the time the war started the lights will go out to symbolise Europe plunged into darkness.
